Good byes to Grandma Audrey

Today was the service for Great-Grandma Audrey.  The kids and I had to miss the morning service to go to an appointment with Dr. Genes.  Unfortunately, we couldn't cancel the appointment since we have waited months for the appointment.

We did manage to make it to the lunch that was given by the Relief Society at the LDS church after the service.  I heard it was a very moving ceremony.

Here is a picture of Kaylee with Daddy looking at the photo collage of Grandma and family.  She was pointing to the photos and saying "OOK" which is her way to say look.  Sorry, it's a little blurry since it was taken with my phone.

We are so glad that we were able to visit with the family.  We also presented Grandpa Jim with his "hug" card. Here's a pic of part of it. We made a little cover for it with a pic of the kids on it. The "hug" was a cut out of all of our hands including mine and Mark's from largest to smallest. Grandpa said he wanted to wear it home :)

We look forward to GG and Grandpa Jim visiting again. Hopefully, it will be under happier circumstances next time.

God Bless Grandma Audrey. Now she can walk with Grandpa Alan and play fetch with their beloved doggies. 'Til we see you again in heaven.

The hug card was such a beautiful idea! I'm so sorry...I know you knew it was coming...but it's still sad. Especially for the kiddos. Kaylee looked so beautiful in her little dress n' hat!

((((((hugs)))))))

Danielle, Thanks. Have to admit, it's not mine. Got the idea from Javi's preschool teacher. Javi made me one four years ago for Mother's Day and I still have it hanging up.

Jen, Thanks. Me too. I'm afraid we will be going through it again soon with my grandparents, who are like parents to me. :(

Sharon, Thanks. We thought so too. I just love the little hat. Everyone loved it at the funeral too.
